  • Jacqui Lipton founded Raven Quill Literary Agency in 2020 and is happy to return to the helm after spending several years as a Senior Agent at The Tobias Literary Agency. She loves all things books and publishing and has been an avid reader since elementary school. Her tastes were always broad and eclectic. She loved (and still does) reading everything from a good murder mystery to space opera to contemporary romance and everything in between.

    Her background is also eclectic. At university (yes, in Australia, they call it "university"), she studied law, psychology, drama, languages, and information technology. She practiced as a banking and finance attorney in Australia, and has worked as a law professor in Australia, the U.K. and the United States where her teaching and writing has focused on laws relating to the publishing industry, digital technology law, copyright, trademark, privacy, and defamation. She is the author of LAW & AUTHORS: A LEGAL HANDBOOK FOR WRITERS (2020, University of California Press) and OUR DATA, OURSELVES: A PERSONAL GUIDE TO DIGITAL PRIVACY (2022, University of California Press).

    She holds an M.F.A. in Fiction from Vermont College of Fine Arts and regularly teaches classes on writing and on legal aspects of publishing around the country.

    Jacqui represents authors of fiction and non-fiction from middle grade through to adult, as well as selected projects for younger readers (picture books, chapter books etc.) She is currently particularly interested in platform-driven nonfiction with a compelling narrative voice as well as mysteries with unique protagonists/settings, compelling plots and high stakes. She is not currently seeking high fantasy, and considers science-fiction selectively.

  • Chelsea Moyer comes to Raven Quill Literary Agency after a stint at The Tobias Literary Agency, first as an intern in the Children's Department and later as the Adult Department Assistant and the agency's Social Media Manager. She holds an MFA in Writing from the Vermont College of Fine Arts.

    Chelsea is seeking compulsive, propulsive, commercial/upmarket fiction. She represents select middle grade, young adult, new adult, and adult stories across fiction, especially speculative fiction genres.. She’s delighted by the surprising and the strange, and loves  messy characters, deep emotion, tight timelines, ticking clocks, strange premises, and suppressed stories.  

    Chelsea is currently not a good fit for hard sci-fi, body horror, or non-fiction.

    She is only open to select queries from events, but will open broadly in the fall of 2026.

  • Heather Harwood has a BA in Art History from the University of Utah and an MFA in Writing for Children and Young Adults from the Vermont College of Fine Arts. A former preschool teacher, Heather adores a good picture book but you’ll most often find her cozying up with all kinds of novels. 

  • Lindsay Flanagan is an award-winning author and editor who loves everything bookish--whether it's supporting agents, publishers, or other authors, Lindsay's preferred pastimes always involve the literary world.
